PtCRIN´s CTU Impact Day – Strengthening Investigator-Initiated Clinical Trials

Join PtCRIN's community for a landmark event on our national Clinical Trial Units network! Clinicians, researchers, regulators, patient representatives and policymakers — together with the PtCRIN's CTUs — sharing strategies, forging collaborations, and unlocking the full potential of Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials nationwide.
Highlights include:
• Plenary sessions and direct engagement with national Clinical Trial Units;
• Roundtables with leading national stakeholders — confirmed participations of INFARMED, CEIC, AICIB, Clinical Academic Centers, Sociedade de Ciências Médicas de Lisboa and patient representatives;
• A dedicated session for presenting and discussing clinical study proposals;
• An award for the best clinical study design.

Interventional Clinical Study Design Discussion
A highlight of this meeting will be dedicated sessions focused on the presentation and discussion of innovative clinical study designs developed and/or implemented by Portuguese research institutions. Mentored by leading national scientists and clinical research methodologists, the session will promote the exchange of ideas, foster collaborations, and strengthen research networks, ultimately contributing to the quality, innovation, and impact of clinical research in Portugal.
During the meeting, the Juri will select the Best Interventional Clinical Study to be awarded by PtCRIN and announced via official channels! Award includes:
-Certificate of award
-Four hours of free mentoring from a PtCRIN's Clinical Trial Unit (CTU)
-Waived fee for level 1 certification in CLIC - Clinical Investigator Certificate
• Submission and Evaluation Guidelines for clinical study design (CTU Impact Day_Submission Guidelines.pdf)
• Application Form template (CTU Impact Day_ Award Application Form.docx) to be completed and sent via mail to ptcrin@ptcrin.pt
• Applications by July 31st
